Welcome New Associate Pastor! Fr. Matthew Ferch to Start on June 17

Fr. Matthew Ferch
St. Anthony and St. Mary parishes are pleased to announce the appointment of Fr. Matthew Ferch as our new associate pastor. Fr. Matthew brings a deep love for parish ministry, a strong background in faith formation, and a joyful commitment to serving the people of God. His first day is June 17.
A native of Wauwatosa, Fr. Matthew grew up attending St. Agnes Parish in Butler and graduated from Wauwatosa West High School, where he was actively involved in music. He went on to study Theology and Political Science at St. Norbert College in De Pere, where his faith deepened through involvement in campus ministry, music, and service. His call to the priesthood became clearer during college and was further nurtured during a post-graduate service semester with the Norbertine Volunteer Community in Green Bay.
Fr. Matthew began his seminary formation at St. Francis de Sales Seminary in 2016. His journey included ministerial experiences with Catholic Charities, the UWM Newman Center, St. Camillus, and his teaching parish, Blessed Sacrament in Milwaukee. A pilgrimage to the Holy Land during his formation was especially transformative.
Ordained in 2022, Fr. Matthew has spent the past three years serving at St. Francis Borgia Parish in Cedarburg, where he was involved in adult faith formation, OCIA, and youth ministry. He is excited to begin this next chapter of his priestly ministry with the St. Mary and St. Anthony communities.
Outside of ministry, Fr. Matthew enjoys reading theology, watching classic films, traveling, and trying new restaurants. He looks forward to meeting parishioners—be sure to say hello after Mass!
Please join us in welcoming Fr. Matthew Ferch to our parish family.
