How is God Calling You?

Skyler Moyer, Director of Formation
Do you long to grow closer to God? Are you searching for a way to deepen your faith and knowledge and live out your Catholic calling? By teaching, you learn… and you can transform your spiritual life by sharing the beauty of our faith with others!
You don’t need a degree or prior experience to make a difference. We offer free self-paced training and a joyful community to guide you. All it takes is a heart open to God’s plan. He doesn’t call the prepared, He prepares the called. Our 7th–12th graders need men and women to share Catholic teachings with them on Sunday mornings after the 9:30am Mass at St. Mary’s (just during the school year). Plus, join them on three fun, short, faith-filled retreats at no cost to you!
Why share your faith as a catechist?
-
Deepen your faith: Grow spiritually as you learn and teach Catholic doctrine.
-
Fulfill the Great Commission: Answer Christ’s call to “make disciples” (Matthew 28:19).
-
Offer a sacrifice to God: Your time and love become a meritorious work, a good deed that honors God and builds His Kingdom.
-
Shape young hearts: Guide the next generation of Catholics in their faith journey.
-
Find joy in community: Connect with others passionate about living for Christ.
Is God calling you to this holy work? This is your chance to say “yes” to a rewarding, faith-filled adventure. Contact our Director of Formation, Skyler Moyer, at moyers@stam.church by August 3rd—but preferably sooner—to learn more or sign up. Spaces are limited.
