Faith Formation Programs Have a New Leader
The shared faith formation program of St. Anthony and St. Mary parishes now has new leadership! We are excited to welcome Aaron Ebert.
Aaron comes originally from Northeast Ohio where he grew up at St. Mary’s Parish and attended Sandusky St. Mary Central Catholic School. During his undergraduate years, Aaron left the Catholic Church and entered the world of Reformed Protestantism where he spent the next twelve or so years. Much to his surprise, he was led back to the Catholic Church in his early thirties and now has a special passion for the formation and catechesis of youth and adults in the Catholic and Apostolic faith. Aaron met his wife, Deborah, in New Zealand, where Deb is from and where they spent the early part of their marriage. Most recently, Aaron and Deb lived for nearly a decade in Durham, North Carolina. Aaron has a Bachelor’s in Accounting from the University of Montevallo, an M.T.S. from Duke Divinity School, and a Ph.D. in Early Christianity from Duke University where he wrote his dissertation on the moral theology of St. Augustine. Aaron and Deb now have six children and make their home near Dousman, Wisconsin where they also maintain a small farm.
Aaron will make his public introduction to the parish community when he is the featured presenter at the April Speaker Series, scheduled for 10:45 am on Sunday, April 21 in the Lower Level Conference Rooms of the St. Mary School.
