Catholic but not Confirmed? Interested in becoming Catholic? We can help!
Are you thinking about becoming Catholic? Or do you have questions about the Church you would like to explore? We warmly welcome you to reach out to our Associate Pastor, Fr. Andrew Linn (frlinn@stam.church), to begin a conversation about the process of inquiring into the Catholic faith!
The formal name for this process is the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA, formerly known as RCIA). In addition to those who are not Catholic, this process is also intended to serve those who are baptized but:
- have not received the Sacrament of Confirmation;
- have never received Holy Communion;
- are receiving Holy Communion without having received the Sacrament of Confession;
- have been married outside the Sacrament of Marriage;
- or who simply desire a deeper foundation in the elements of the faith!
If you fall into any of these categories, we would love to help you come into the fullness of the Church’s communion, a fullness which offers the surest means of eternal salvation and the greatest possibility of a flourishing life on earth.
New Session of OCIA is Starting this Fall
OCIA meets weekly, from mid-September until shortly after Easter, with breaks during holidays. It combines expert instruction, honest conversation, inspirational prayer, and good cheer. The first step is to meet with our Associate Pastor, Fr. Andrew Linn. Please email him at frlinn@stam.church to set up a meeting!
