After 6 years of serving as associate pastor, Fr. Andrew Linn has announced he will be leaving St. Anthony and St. Mary parishes. Starting in July, he will be taking on the role of parochial administrator/pastor in a new parish.

St. Anthony and St. Mary parishes were notified about the change last week after Archbishop Grob met with the Priest Placement Board. The pastoral needs in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee are assessed annually, and from these assessments, recommendations for priest placements for the upcoming year are made. The news was shared with St. Anthony and St. Mary parishioners after weekend Masses Feb. 1-2.

“Fr. Linn will be missed, but we celebrate this new chapter in his priestly life,” said Msgr. Ross Shecterle, pastor of St. Anthony and St. Mary parishes. “We give thanksgiving for the leadership he provided over the years in our parishes and will continue to nurture the seeds that he has planted.”

Details about final priest placements for the upcoming year — which will include the new associate pastor appointment for St. Anthony and St. Mary —  will likely be made public in the early spring.

“It has been an incredible privilege to serve alongside the wonderful members of these parishes,” Fr. Linn said. “Together, we’ve shared countless moments of grace, laughter, and prayer. I am thankful for our time together and look forward to what God has in store for us in the future. You will be in my prayers.”
