CGS Formation Course to be Offered June 15-20

Our Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) program continues to grow, now serving more than 130 children. As this ministry expands, we are seeking catechists and assistants who have a heart for nurturing a child’s relationship with God through Scripture, prayer, and the liturgy.

This summer, a Level 1 Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Formation Course will be offered at
St. Jerome in Oconomowoc from June 15–20. Rooted in the Montessori tradition, CGS is a beautiful approach to faith formation that invites children into a deeper encounter with Christ through hands-on materials, sacred Scripture, and the rhythms of the liturgy.

Level 1 formation prepares catechists to work with children ages 3–6 in the atrium environment. No prior experience is necessary — only a willing heart and a desire to accompany children in their faith journey.

Participants often describe the experience as personally transformative.
