Join Us in Celebrating Catholic Schools Week: Jan. 25-30
UNITED IN FAITH AND COMMUNITY
From January 25–30, St. Mary Parish School joyfully celebrates National Catholic Schools Week, a time set aside each year to recognize and give thanks for the gift of Catholic education. This year’s theme, “Catholic Schools: United in Faith and Community,” beautifully captures who we are and what we strive to live each day at St. Mary’s.
At St. Mary Parish School, everything we do flows from our mission to create Catholic leaders through academic excellence, supporting diverse learners, and seeing Jesus in every person. United in faith, our students, faculty, and staff work together daily to help our children grow in faith, character, confidence, and academic excellence. Watching this growth—spiritually, academically, and personally—is one of the greatest joys of my role as principal.
Catholic Schools Week also reminds us that Catholic education is truly a shared mission. Our school thrives because of the strong partnership between families, our parish, and the wider community. Parents are the first and most important educators of their children, and their involvement, support, and witness of faith make a lasting impact each day. We are also deeply grateful for our parishioners, whose prayers, encouragement, and generosity help sustain our school and make Catholic education possible for so many families.
Throughout the week, our students will celebrate Catholic Schools Week with a variety of fun and meaningful activities that highlight both faith and community. Festivities begin with our St. Mary Parish School Open House on January 25, welcoming prospective families and guests to experience the joy and excellence of our school firsthand. On January 26, students will take the stage at the SMPS Talent Show, sharing their God-given gifts with family and friends. The celebration culminates in our much-anticipated School Day Fun Fair on January 30, a day filled with laughter, games, and community spirit. (For a complete list of activities, click here.)
Catholic Schools Week is a time to celebrate our students, honor our families and parish community, and give thanks for the many blessings of Catholic education at St. Mary Parish School. We are proud of who we are, grateful for those who support us, and excited to continue growing—united in faith and community.
