NFP Presents: Perimenopause Prep on Nov. 19

All women are invited to attend “Perimenopause Prep: Navigating NFP Through Shifting Fertility” on  from 6:30–8 p.m. at Chesterton Academy, located next to St. Anthony Parish.

This evening workshop offers women of all ages the opportunity to learn about the changes in fertility and menstrual cycles that occur during perimenopause and beyond. The event will be held in person, with guest speaker Christina Valenzuela, founder of Pearl & Thistle, joining virtually from Boston. This hybrid format allows the Archdiocese to make the workshop available multiple times a year while keeping the cost low for participants.

With more than ten years of experience teaching Natural Family Planning (NFP), Valenzuela will lead a casual and engaging session that covers:

  • How fertility and menstrual cycle patterns change after age 35

  • The stages of perimenopause

  • Charting signs to recognize during this transition

  • How and why to chart cycles for health, self-knowledge, and family planning

  • What to expect with NFP during perimenopause

Whether participants are already noticing cycle changes or simply planning ahead, this workshop will provide practical knowledge and spiritual encouragement to navigate this season of life with confidence and positivity.

Registration is $15 and includes the workshop, a consultation with the Archdiocese’s NFP Coordinator, and a copy of the book Family Planning and Fertility: Everything You Wish You Already Knew.

No one will be turned away due to financial circumstances. Those in need of assistance may contact Tori Franke at franket@archmil.org or 414-758-2241.
