Adult/Family Formation
Formation in the Catholic faith thus happens principally in and through regular, active, and fruitful participation in the Mass, the sacramental economy, and within the family. “Believing families are of primary importance as centers of living, radiant faith … It is in the bosom of the family that parents are ‘by word and example ... the first heralds of the faith with regard to their children’,” (CCC 1656). "The family, like the Church, ought to be a place where the Gospel is transmitted and from which the Gospel radiates" (Familiaris Consortio, 52). The family is the "domestic church," (Lumen Gentium, 11) where parents actively educate and nurture their children’s relationship with Christ. Through regular, fruitful participation in the Mass and the intentional faith formation within the home, our youth are formed to live as disciples of Christ.
At the parish, we endeavor to complement and enrich the Lord's work in the Church and the home by offering regular catechesis for middle- and high-schoolers, a Friday night Youth Group, and adult formation for parents.
